  • When bringing foreign currency for exchange, make sure to carry large-denomination, clean, and recently issued bills. Worn, torn, or small-denomination notes are often not accepted at exchange offices.
Requirements and notes for the tour
  • 🛂 Valid Passport & Visa (if applicable):
    Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. Most nationalities do not need a visa for Kyrgyzstan, but please check your specific requirements in advance.
  • 🧍‍♂️ Moderate Fitness Level Required:
    Participants should be in generally good health and able to:
    Walk on uneven terrain
    Ride horseback for 4–5 hours (Day 6)
    Tolerate high altitudes (up to 3000+ m at Son-Kul Lake)
  • 🎒 Basic Outdoor Readiness:
    Be prepared for limited electricity, shared facilities, and cold nights in high-altitude yurts.

  • 🐴 Horse Riding (Day 6):
    No prior riding experience is required. Horses are calm, and guides will assist throughout. Comfortable long pants and closed shoes are recommended.
  • 🛏️ Accommodation:
    A mix of guesthouses, yurt stays, and local hotels. Facilities in remote areas (Son-Kul, Kazarman) may be basic but clean and hospitable.
  • 🍽️ Meals:
    Traditional Kyrgyz meals included; vegetarian options available with prior notice. Let us know about dietary restrictions in advance.
